Today we talk with Festival Operations Chair Barbara Knapp. Barb has been volunteering with the Festival for a number of years, so we took a moment to ask her a couple of questions about volunteering.

Hi, Can you tell us who you are?
Barbara Knapp
Hi Barbara and tell me how long have you been involved in the Festival?
Probably 10 years.
Wow that’s a long time, so what got you involved?
Well, Originally I work at the Interstate Center as an event manager. When I worked there I though Festival of Trees would be happier at the Interstate Center, so I kind of drug them over there; and when I left the Interstate Center, I continued to volunteer for the Festival of Trees. I really enjoy it, I really believe in what the Baby Fold is and its fun.
That’s awesome, now what are you doing this year for the festival?
I am the same thing as I have done the several years, I am operations, I am pretty much logistics.
OK and whats your favorite thing of the Festival?
I think it’s that all comes together and all of us volunteer, some thing so tremendous, so dynamic and so worth while is done by volunteers and its huge!
And if you had one thing to tell people about the Festival what would it be?
It’s a wonderful family event. Come out and let us know more about you and find out more about the Baby Fold and you’ll be back.
