Marj Taylor has been decorating for the Festival for a number of years.  Today we talk to her about why she is involved in the Festival and get a sneak description of the tree she will be designing.

Can you tell us who you are?

I’m Marj Taylor

Hi Marj! And how long have you been involved with the Festival?

About 15 years.

Oh my goodness, 15 years! And what do you do with the Festival?

I decorate trees.

So, we are here at Jeffery Alan today, did you get some good tips, for ideas, for this year?

You always get good tips. You always learn something that you didn’t know or you think “Yeah that’s a good idea, I can do that!”

Oh fantasic! Do you have ideas for what you’re going to design this year?

Ah, yes I do.

Okay, do you want to tell us about it, give us a little sneak peek?

It’s going to be turquoise and that new pink-purple that they have out this year. We have big bows that are sparkly and we are getting ornaments to match that.  Our skirt is going to be gold with the turquoise and that pink color with it.

Awesome! Can you tell us a little bit about why you do the Festival and your connection with the Baby Fold?

Well, number one, I just like decorating trees. Number two, I know several children that came from the Baby Fold and how happy their parents were that they got them.  And it just makes you feel like you want to help.

That’s wonderful. And what is your favorite thing about the festival?

Oh, all the trees and how much people do for The Baby Fold.

And if you wanted to tell somebody one thing about the festival, what would you want them to know?

Just get involved and you’ll enjoy every minute of it!
